| We're not deflecting it, we're just pointing out how in America a statue talking about christian extremism simply wouldn't fly. There are people in this country who believe bombing abortion clinics and killing practitioners is a moral thing to do. |

I guess I could create a lightning gun and sell this stuff on ebay.
Just looking at these comments makes me realize how ignorant people are in this world.

“Yes, I understand streaming shows. What I am suggesting, however, is that they bypass traditional streaming and go straight to bittorrent distribution. This would reduce their overhead for online distribution to near zero. Incorporating built in advertising would ensure that revenue was potentially generated.

Now all we need is a telescope named Aequitas..
Ah, yes. What wonderful, backwards logic.1) I'm not sure how old you are, but it's quite possible that something has changed in education in at least two decades.2) Of course there are worthless piece of crap teachers who don't deserve a high salary. Just like there are worthless, piece of crap lawyers, politicians, accountants, CEOs, etc.3) Let's say you are a bright, young, college-educated teacher who has decided they want to change the world, one student at a time. I'm assuming that they are ready to be everything that your worthless teachers aren't. They get into a school with a starting salary that just barely lets them live from paycheck to paycheck in a neighborhood that doesn't make them feel safe or secure. Each and every day they are faced with the challenge of taking 20-25+ students and forming them into the kinds of people that everyone wants them to be, except no one wants to help them get there. For example, the governor of the state stands up at election time and claims he will reform education, and then cuts millions of dollars of funding in order to plug up a hole elsewhere. Or the parents all complain when there children aren't learning mathematics correctly, but once it's time to find a parent to volunteer or to help make a donation towards buying new textbooks, no one steps up.Do you think that teacher is going to stick around for very long when they are A) underpaid, B) broke, C) scared of their work/home environment, and D) receiving almost no support from the people around them?!

We can look back and say he shoulda invaded ..killed mad Iranian mullah fools .. and rescued the hostages.. but then we forget back then the Soviets had thousands of nukes pointed this way. So it may have been a risky move. Sure we can look back now and claim the Soviets wouldnt have fired .. but who's to know that? It's the same thing that ***** off Vietnam. It was hard to fight the Viet Cong and NVA with the Soviet nuke threat up in the air.?
Yes, sure, make Freddy more brutal...because lord knows we don't already have about a dozen serious, brutal serial killers in the movies. Freddy's trash talk and jokes are what made him stand out from the herd in the originals...but nah, just throw all that out and make him just another personality-less killer. |

Why should anyone bother coming up with new criticism if that criticism is still valid?

The plug in hybrid is the critical next step. We need to develop vehicles with electric drivetrains, but consumers will NOT broadly accept limited range battery-only vehicles. The series-hybrid plugins resolve the range issue, and once they start to get significant market share, the fundamental design of the car lets you swap the "extender module" from being internal combustion/gasoline to ICE/diesel, ICE/ethanol, ICE/hydrogen, or Fuel Cell Hydrogen. For that matter the extender module can be dropped entirely when/if battery range becomes sufficient. Anyone pushing battery-only electrics over plug-ins for environmental reasons is 100% shooting themselves in the foot. It's all about having a workable electric *drivetrain* that can stay in all-electric mode up through freeway speeds. Once we get our foot in the door on that by getting a large number of those vehicles on the road everything else is simple evolutionary steps forward on the same fundamental design.

***** BEST BUYI don't know if it's still $35 to install a stick of memory, but that's ridiculous.I bought my television recently from Costco. Employees are paid fairly. Good selection. Great CEO. Got a Samsung 46" for $400 less than Best Buy's price, and no it was not lacking any of the technical features that the Best Buy model had...trust me...I did the research. |
