I think games like COD were better before party chat (it wasn't that long ago btw). yes, some people were annoying, but thats what mute is for. at least you could meet new people and tell the other team how you felt after the match. I know a lot of people feel party chat has in some ways taken a lot away from these types of gamesalso the only place where cheating can take place isn't just games with no re-spawn. in pretty much any gamemode a friend can join in mid game and end up on the other team. then if he's in party chat he can give up all types of information. I know that might seem silly, but these are "ranked" matches with leaderboards, and some people take that seriously.in the end it may be an inconvenience, but it's something they're doing to make gameplay more fair. also I think it's funny people act like the right to party chat is in the constitution or something. like many things in life it comes first with much freedom, but then as it's drawbacks manifest, regulation is put into effect.and btw, the price of xbox live has not changed since they added party chat. so don't act like you pay $50 a year for party chat

I'd be fine with Apple's insane terms and scrutiny if it meant only the best iphone apps got through. But considering 95% of the apps are crap (most of which are PG-porn image galleries) I would much rather they get over themselves. Crap is crap, even when named "iPhone Crap". Either let it all through or actually test for quality. |
