Where's the FUD? Anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of economics can see the short term and potential long term effects of the proposals in all of the Democrat sponsored bills. We have video of Obama, and other Democrats, openly advocating a single payer system. At the start, the stated goal was to reduce costs, but nothing in these bills does reduces costs. The sponsors claim the public option will create choice and promote competition, which they claim is good, but it falls far short of the competition and choices that would result from being able to shop across state lines. These are facts. If they inspire Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt, there's good reason. You should be hesitant to support an endeavor that will transform our health care system to 'third world' status. It terrifies me too.

People even kill in the name of no religion at all. That doesn't mean that all non-religious people are violent either. Labeling the victims of any memorial as having been killed by an "extremist" of any faith is baseless. Someone can be "extreme" in their religious worldview without being violent. Take the Quakers and the Amish. Eric Robert Rudolph was raised in the Christian Identity movement. You could place a label identifying Rudolph's victims as having been killed by a member of the Christian Identity movement. And you could label the memorial in question with "killed my Islamic Jihadists."The terms "Christian Extremist" and "Moslem Extremist" are misleading as they serve to pave over the many theological distinctions between those who practice their religion in peace and those advance their causes at the edge of a sword..
Everyone hates Glenn Beck and idiots are a subset of everyone.!

Part of that is cultural. For example, in my neighbourhood, all of the African immigrants eat lentils because that's what they're used to. But people who were born in Canada are used to eating a lot of meat, so the idea of buying lentils and beans in place of meat doesn't even occur to most of them. I'd imagine the situation in the US is pretty similar, since Canada and the US have very similar cultures.
